Would love to see armstrong over asham... not that I have a problem with asham... but I like colby's skillset better. if the pens manage to get another top 6 forward, then the 4th line is made up of vitale, adams and possibly... sulliven, tangradi, or asham/colby... so if he gets hurt... he is replaceable |

Yes to bringing back Colby only at a salary cap friendly deal to take Asham's roster spot even though Colby has been injury prone the past couple seasons. He would be a nice fit on the fourth line.
No way to bringing in Radulov. |

Get Martin and TK to a team or teams that need to add salary to get to the cap floor, (Nash?) then we would have 19+ mil to play with
Parise
Suter
Solid 3rd and 4th liner (Parros, Burrish, Prust) any of those would do.
No thanks to Colby Armstrong, his ship has sailed here, he has had 9 goals in 2 years, even TK outscores him. |

Parros brings nothing but the ability to fight as far as how Bylsma uses his 4th line. I like him, he isnt a complete scrub, but he doesnt add anything to the table in the Penguins situation. |

i would but only if radulov was on a one or two year deal for 2.5 max. I agree that we need to shift some money from defense to offence. so what I would like to see them do in a perfect world sign suter, trade martin tk and a prospect/pick that makes sence for both teams for ryan. then add latendress, crabb, and burrish to the third and fourth line. along with a center like kanopka or someting for the fourth line and then add zannon to the back end to play as our 7th d man when we needed a vet for the 3rd pair. |

I heard that interview with the guy from Nashville and he said Pittsburgh is about the only place as a fit for Radulov simply because him and Geno are great friends. He speculated maybe Geno could pass along a little insight on getting in top shape since he too has taken things for granted in the past. Basically wouldn't take much to get him, maybe in a trade for Martin. Also don't know what it takes to sign him either....since he's an RFA. Can't help be intrigued by his talent, still.....guy seems to be a bit of slug so it's risky.
I like the idea of Konopka. Not a complete cement head, plus he's a money face-off guy.
By the way..... No on Armstrong. Love the character, but he's not exactly done anything since he left. Injured a lot I believe. |

No to Radulov.
Pens need to add Parise and grit.
Sign Parise, and Hannan or Allen. Replace Asham with Prust. |

The Tennesseean recently reported that Nashville is interested in Martin. I can confirm that Nashville isn't on Martin's no-trade list. |

No thanks to Armstrong and I would take a chance on radiology for a small deal if he takes it he got to have huge offers from Russia but I think malkin would be able to change his attitude. He's got the skill it's just a matter of where his heads at. He's lazy and malkin admitted to being a lazy player before his knee injury so maybe he could teach rads how to be a good NHL player. Price has to e right though because he is a RFA. |

Radulov would be okay if we could get him for cheap, like 20 bucks a season.
Hell to the no on Army, dude has been injured since he left the Pens.
The only ex-penguin I would take back would be Malone (Too lazy to check cap geek but I think his contract is winding down?)
And I disagree with John, I think this is the year to splurge on Parise and or Suter. If you got the cap space spend it. I know we are a little "soff" in the D-end but if we can score 6 goals a game, it's hard to lose. |

I'd be alright with Armstrong at a cut rate, none of this $3M Maple Leaf foolery. Stick him on the third line with Cookie and Sutter and let them get under the Flyers skin.
I'm skeptical of Suter as a signing. Not sure why. I don't buy into the theory of that he was the beneficiary of a great partner especially with Letang already on the team.
I'm onboard with Parise but that might just be because he's one of my favourite players. Tomorrow should be fun though. |

I can see Colby to some degree. I especially like the idea that he can be a thorn to opponents especially when Cooke is not so much anymore. Although, I like what Cooke has become. I personally hope Asham stays.
Rudalov: No way. Why set up yourself with an apparent headache?
Would love to see a run after Carle.
I think everything hinges on moving Martin. |

Yes for Armstrong ($1mil.), Parise ($7.5-8 mil.), Prust ($1.4 mil.) or Burrish ($0.9 m.)
Yes to Radulov for a cheap price/2 year deal if we don't land Parise, Doan or Ryan.
Yes to Allen or Suter at the right price. |

This years FA brings some hard choices for Ray. I think it is a make it or break it year for the Pens esp. when it comes to our D. Martin needs to go. If that goes down we now have 2 D men we need to replace & I am not too fond of who is in our system. I think they are still a year or two away. I go after Suter & try to sign Allen for 2 years. I also make a push for Parise if that don't pan out I try to deal for Radulov & sign him for a 2 year deal no more than 3 mil. at the max. I think he could be a great player on the right team. Colby is a no. But we do need grit. I trust Ray will find the right personal for the fourth line. We have the cash lets hope we spend it wisely. |

i realize you have to overpay sometimes with a down talent pool, but he is not a good idea for anyone at 6 mil. but on the pens he would be a horrible fit even at 4.
i am hearing nisk was resigned? |

Niskanen has been resigned for 2 years with what I believe is a 2.3M cap hit, good deal. |

Pitt will sign everybody, but the team will still stink
Only rhyme I could think of... Team will be mighty awesome next year though.
Top 3 lines plus upgraded D. Just need goalie to regain composure. |

yeah i think thats perfect for both sides. i think he is gonna continue to get better with the pens, then when that is up he will earn probably double that with another team and he will be replaced (hopefully) with one of these nice prospects. |

I think he would have signed longer but the Penguins wanted it to be 2 years. I think what you said is exactly the case |
